Established in 1899, Karori is the oldest hockey club in Wellington and the second oldest in the country. KHC enjoys a proud tradition and reputation for success, offering men's, women's and junior teams competing in various grades of the Wellington competition.

We're always on the lookout for new club members - players, coaches, committee members, supporters, sponsors, or even social butterflies! So if you're looking to join a forward thinking hockey club, then look no further!

Karori is a great club to be a part of - we have a number of teams playing at varying levels in the Wellington competition.

Whether you want to play at a competitive level (Premier grades) or at a social level (Reserve grades), we have a place for you. And if playing's not your game, we'd still love to hear from you. We're an expanding club and would appreciate any help you could offer. If you'd like to find out more about Karori Hockey Club, please contact us.

Despite our name, Karori Hockey has a wide membership based predominantly outside of Karori. We welcome anyone from anywhere in the wider Wellington Region to come and be part of history.

Our home turf is the National Hockey Stadium (NHS) in Newtown. All Karori teams train here and premier teams play most weeks on one of the three turfs located here.

Kapiti Hockey Club kindly host Karori as part of annual a pre-season gathering for all teams and on occasion premier teams will also play away at the Kapiti Sports Turf depending on the draw.

Karori reserve grade teams train and play at NHS, as well as various other turfs around Wellington.
